The secrets of the Ancients
How the ancients moved thousands of giant megaliths has been the subject of serious debate and speculation ever since man first laid eyes upon these colossal stone achievements. Theories abound, some more fanciful than others. The following explanation could be considered the most fanciful of all or it could be considered a simple all encompassing explanation for the building of pyramids and the use of stone in construction.
In order to put this idea into any practical context is difficult if not impossible. The reason behind this is simply, the passage of time. Our knowledge of what went on long ago is based on what remains of that civilization today, in the present. Anthropologists and Archaeologists piece together these remnants to form a very solid account of what really existed. There were certain social organizations, political systems, as well as physical infrastructure which had to happen in order for those societies to endure. Our present understanding of ourselves and our relative level of advancement in these same areas, is based on our scientific and technological prowess. These achievements, however great, are very recent in our history.
Space travel, computers, the automobile, airplanes, even electrical power distribution have all occurred within only the last 100 years of our civilization. If we continue at the same rate what can we achieve in the 1000 years or more some of these ancient civilizations endured. For them and us, we both have used natural principles, and a fundamental understanding of the universe around us. The real determining factor in the advancement of a civilization is their collective decision about which of these principles would be pursued and to what end. Both our paths through time may have been different but it is unlikely time would have changed the driving goals, dreams and passions of a human civilization.
Whereas we have focused heavily on development of electromagnetic energy, combustion and heat driven energy they may have developed a different branch of energy science, such as petroelectricity, piezoelectricity, stonemasonry, acoustic science, and earth science. If there is one secret about ancient civilizations that is not widely known, it is that these people were exactly the same as we are. The only real differences are in the technology chosen to advance, the goals to be reached, and the time and effort expended to reach them.
Then as now its likely only a small group understood the most advanced sciences. Then as now it is likely the results of these advancements were not always freely shared, but became secret or learned knowledge. Knowledge is power and today is no different. Many people use present technology but the energy is supplied by a higher group and few individuals understand exactly how you would go about in generating and distributing electricity. However, It is still you and your families labor, either directly or indirectly through money and taxes, which has gone into the creation of the massive electrical grid and transportation network which exists at present.
How did the ancients move the megaliths?
Stone is heavy. This is because stone is a very dense and hard material. Being so solid it is an excellent conductor of mechanical energy. It is difficult and time consuming to work and if the pieces are sufficiently large, it becomes extremely difficult to move. Today archaeologists consider most stone works to be marvels of sheer force of labor and to have been immense physical undertakings. Huge stone cities existed and even entire civilizations utilizing stone as a primary building material as well as small isolated yet massive stone construction have been discovered such as Stonehenge, all over the world. The sheer magnitude of some of these stones and the existence of similar stone undertakings worldwide suggest a deeper explanation may be required. Some examples;
